Well, no doubt some of you are wondering which of those movies in this section is the dub movie - well, here's your answer.
The dub movie, "Digimon: The Movie" actually came from no less than THREE of the movies. As you can probably guess, much editing had to be done before combining them made any sense. "Digimon: The Movie" is created from Digimon Adventures, Our War Game, and a movie that was split into two parts in Japanese theaters - "Digimon Hurricane Touchdown" and "Supreme Evolution! The Golden Digimentals".
"Digimon: The Movie" has a running time of 83 minutes. Digimon Adventures has a running time of 21 minutes, while Our War Game is 40 minutes long, and Digimon Hurricane Touchdown/The Golden Digimentals together have a running time of 64 minutes. This means that 42 minutes was cut out of all the movies in order to make Digimon: The Movie. While the cuts in Digimon Adventures and Our War Game were fairly insignificant, and extremely large portion of the third movie was cut out in order to tie the plot in with the other two.
While the cuts in "Digimon Adventure" involved only a few short scenes, one of which involving Taichi and Hikari's drunken father, the dialogue in Our War Game was, for lack of a better word, mangled. Wallace, or Willis as he is called in the dub (non-Japanese versions) had no part whatsoever in Our War Game. If you've seen Digimon: The Movie, go ahead and read the summary of the third movie - to list every single edit or cut is a summary in itself.
